Description
One of the most hard-to-find of all azaleas, Nuccio’s ‘Voodoo’ is one of our all-time favorites. Its unique bicolor flowers are a breath of fresh air in the spring garden. Eye-catching flowers have white petals painted with a deep lavender-pink to purple border around the edges. Elongated white stamens reach out gracefully from the center. Wow! A truly exciting and amazing azalea with a springtime flower show you won’t want to miss!
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing to 3 to 4 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide, Nuccio’s Voodoo Azalea is ideal for use as an accent or specimen, in groupings, mass plantings, or low hedges in partially shaded landscape borders, woodland gardens, and home foundation plantings. Butterflies love the flowers, and blooming branches can be cut for use to create stunning indoor floral arrangements.
Suggested Spacing: 2.5 to 3 feet apart for solid hedges; 6 feet apart for space between plants

Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 7a, where this Azalea variety is not winter hardy outdoors, you can enjoy growing it in containers that can be moved indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
Evergreen Azaleas are easy to grow when planted right and in the right spot. They prefer a moist but well-drained and acidic soil that is rich in organic matter and part sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun is ideal. Moderate drought tolerance when established.
